AI transparency statement
Where we use AI today, what is planned, what our AI does not do and which providers process data. We describe what is running now, not what we intend to build.

Where AI is used today
One Altiora product uses AI with members of the public today: the voice demo at altiora.university/talk. Demo
- The call runs on Vapi. Within a call, Deepgram transcribes speech, Anthropic Claude (Sonnet 4.5) generates the replies and ElevenLabs produces the voice.
- The assistant says it is an AI at the start of the call and points people to our contact form if they would like to speak to a person.
- Call audio recording is switched off. Vapi keeps a transcript of the call in its call logs. To ask for a transcript to be deleted, use the contact form and tell us roughly when you called.
Currently paused. The voice demo is paused while provider billing is set up. This statement will be reviewed before it is switched back on.
What does not use AI
- The ROI calculator uses ordinary arithmetic that runs in your browser. It sends nothing unless you submit the separate form and tick the box to include your results.
- The Altiora Impact sample university uses entirely fictional, illustrative data and runs in your browser. Its written summary is rule-based and checked against the computed figures; it is not generated by a language model.
- This website uses no analytics, no advertising and no non-essential cookies.
Planned uses
These are intentions, not live services. We will update this statement and our privacy notice before any of them processes personal data. Planned
- Altiora Voice as a deployable service for universities, answering applicants from approved content with a route to a person.
- Altiora Meet, providing live captions and translated audio for multilingual events.
- Language-model support for written reports in Altiora Impact, checked against computed figures before display.
What our AI does not do
- It does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on individuals, including admissions decisions.
- It is not designed to give fees, deadlines or entry requirements as fact. In the demo it is not connected to any university's records.
- It does not diagnose. Altiora Health is a wellbeing experience in development, not a medical device or clinical service.
- It does not pretend to be a person.
Human oversight
People decide what an assistant is allowed to say and can switch it off. Decisions that matter to an individual stay with a person. A human approval step before any CRM message is sent is In development; it will be in place before any pilot sends messages.
Providers that process data
Status: Live means in use on a public service; Demo means used only in the voice demo; Account only means an account exists but no personal data is sent; Planned means intended for a future product.

EU AI Act
We are aligning with the EU AI Act as its obligations take effect, including transparency duties for systems that interact with people. We do not build AI that decides access to education, which the Act treats as high risk.
